When I was considering starting my wedding and events business I spoke to a dear friend/business owner who highly recommended getting a mentor in my industry. It was very tricky to find someone who's quality of event work I admired but also had a mentoring program AND a successful business in the wedding/events industry. I was blown away when I found a business (on the other side of the world!) who not only had a similar business format as what I wanted to develop but also had gorgeous styling AND amazing reviews....and wanted to work with me...my months of hunting led me to Carla from Trade Sensation. My experience with Trade Sensation Events
My oh my, where exactly do I begin. Is it the amazing customer service, a team that works as a family, amazing coaches and their constant willingness to help and many others. I came in as a student with zero experience of the event planning world, and to think I went to college for two years for event planning, go figure. Now, after an intense training with Carla I can proudly say I have an in-depth knowledge of the wedding planning world and decor with so much hands on experience. In a span of three months I have gained way more knowledge compared to two years in college. I watch Carla talk and relate with her clients and all that goes through my head is “Betty one day you’ll be like Carla” She is truly a great inspiration and I am deeply happy for those in her team because not only do they have an amazing boss but they have gained a friend for life. To every client, I ensure you will be wowed beyond your expectation. I have seen it time and time again these past few months. Other than gaining so much knowledge, Carla and her team are absolutely phenomenal and very helpful. Let me begin by telling you that I have always loved anything and everything to do with weddings and I always knew I had a planner inside me waiting to be unleashed. That's when I decided to join the wedding planning program at Trade Sensation Events, to set my foundation right. As a student, I got to learn so much about this industry and the best part about this program was that I got hands-on experience at real-life weddings, which gave me a thorough understanding of what it takes to organize a great wedding! I would like to make a special mention about Carla, who actually gives priority and individual attention to each of her student's just like each of her client's. During my tenure as a student I was part of some of the best weddings I have ever seen and worked for. From Conception to execution they did a flawless and a very impressive job while taking care of every little detail. For a while now I've been looking for a program in wedding planning but had no luck finding someone that could provide me with hands-on experience while being able to accommodate my hours. I work, go to school and am a part of the trade sensations wedding planning program and they are very flexible with their classes. Carla and the rest of the company do an amazing job showing me the different aspects of the wedding industry. From budgeting meetings to rehearsals, they provide me with both hands-on knowledge and general information. After the classes they always go over everything and allow us to ask questions. We even get a chance to attend the weddings and get hands-on experience that we wouldn't receive in a classroom. I was in a previous internship program with another company but I can honestly say I have learned so much more with Trade Sensations than with anyone else. The knowledge and wisdom they provide is amazing and I couldn't be any happier. Through the mentorship program I continue to grow and learn so much from such talented individuals. So if you're looking for a good planner or a school to advance your knowledge in wedding planning, I highly suggest trade sensations. I have had a great experience with the Trade Sensation team. Not only were they one of the few people who really contact you when you have questions or inquiries within a 24Hr turnaround time but they are all so friendly! When moving to Toronto, wedding planning was something I wanted to take a step into. I didn’t know where to start, so I went on google…I found a place where I could receive a certification to start in the industry, which were QC School and WPIC weekend courses. Both looked great, however I hesitated for a month because I wasn’t sure about investing money into something that was going to be a self-read or a quick 2 day program that just didn’t feel like it was enough. Not knowing what I should be doing, I joined the QC School because I felt that I would be in touch with experts in the field who are really doing event and wedding planning. When looking for some more hands on experience I stumbled upon the Trade Sensation website, so I sent my resume to the team with a little bit about me, within 24 hours I booked an appointment with the CEO Carla Belem (which I thought was crazy for her to just to a meet and greet). I am so glad that I did meet her, because she changed my life and gave me some of the best advice I would get!

I took the Wedding Planning, Decor and Floral mentorship programs and it was an amazing learning experience. The team taught me a lot, they were extremely friendly and patient. My name is Maïlys, I am from the south of France, Toulouse. I was in the internship program at Trade Sensation Wedding Academy for 2 months in March 2022. I really enjoyed my experience here with the team. I learned a lot in the Planning and Design areas. Even though I was more into Planning and marketing, I learned so much in Design by creating decors and doing real Weddings. But my favorite part was still the Planning and marketing one. I have felt totally immersed into their environment and thanking all of the team for that.

I took TSW decor program and enjoyed it a lot. Everyone is friendly and learned a lot of decorating an event especially learning the draperies. I would definitely recommend the program for anyone who wants to be a decor planner for big events

Hi my name is Angie and I have been a part of the internship program for 3 months. I am a soon to be Event Management graduate from Humber College from Toronto. During my internship I have learned lots of hands on experience with decor while setting up and tearing down different tables and events. I have become familiar with the terms of each decor item and have had the chance to express my creativity when creating set ups. I have also gained hands-on experience within the wedding planning field, with researching venues and vendors for clients, partaking in client meetings and even attending a full day wedding while shadowing the lead planner. As my internship is coming to an end I am grateful for all that I have learned and could see myself having a career in the wedding planning field.
