WHY WREATHS, you ask? Well, wreaths can adorn walls, doors, windows, tables and fireplaces. This accent piece is the most versatile accessory that can be used to adorn your home or personnel space and how exciting would it be if we could make our own wreaths all year round. The fun thing is that wreaths don’t necessarily need to be made with flowers and leaves ONLY, you can definitely accessorize it with mesh, and pine cones, light colored balls – WOW! There is no limit to your creative edge here. Although wreaths can be made with various materials, what this course will teach you is the basic mechanics of making wreaths which will enable you all to explore in any which way further.
Course Duration:
• 6 Hours :- Spread over two days for three hours each
Types & Techniques:
• Working with two types of base Wire and Foam (or the most widely available base at that time)
• Students will be taught to color coordinate, clustering.
• Students will be taught wiring, taping, hot glue technique (as per requirement)
• For wet foam arrangements – students will be taught how to prep the materials for use eg. Greenery, flowers etc.
• Foam prep, cold glue techniques
• Mechanics of floral arrangement and greens in a wet oasis (this will also be helpful in making sympathy hearts, cross, wreaths etc.)
Students will get to take their productions home and enjoy for a long lasting effect. Students will experience a very hands on experience, and along the way will learn many important techniques in basic floral arrangement, wiring, taping too which will help in prep for corsages, buttoners’ etc.
